Recruit - Orientation ProgramWelcome to the Vast Empire Stormtrooper Corps. By now you have established a character name and identify for yourself. You have created the means to play games on the Zone and have access to the Battleboard. You now have posting access to Comnet and are capable of participating in Army Storynet missions. However, we recognize that having the means to use a tool is not the same as knowing how to use it. Hopefully the following lessons will be prepare you for life in the Vast Empire. In doing so, it will hopefully answer the myriad of questions you may have about the VE and the Corps. And yes, you will eventually be tested on this. Lesson 1: Navigation - There are many resources available to members of the Vast Empire. The trick is to get used to knowing where they are. This lesson will provide you with the essential links and screenshots of particular page sections you can use to find much of what you need and are looking for. Lesson 2: Games & Gaming - One of the things we strive to achieve success in is providing entertaining and challenging gameplay. This section covers our supported games, off-site links pertaining to gameplay and tips on how to become a stronger opponent to others. Lesson 3: Essential Elements - Many of the things we do in the Corps have a reason behind them; sometimes not one that appears to be obvious. There are methods of behavior which you can use which will aid you both in advancement and in a better overall atmosphere with others. In this lesson we try to set guidelines for behavior in IRC channels, storynet missions, and in other situations wherein success in working with others equals a better experience as a Vast Empire member. I admit that no one checklist of items can answer every question or address every situation. For that reason, an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) list has been created wherein you, the new trooper, can pass along those items that you feel will be of assistance to other new recruits. Send all such mail requests to a superior officer using the appropriate chain of command.
