Vehicles

From the first drop-offs of AT-TEs being placed on the surface of Geonosis, the Clone Wars took on a new approach to conflict that the galaxy had never seen.

There have been tanks - wheeled, tracked, repulsorlift-powered - for an immeasurable time. Most have been slow lumbering machines, vulnerable to fire from air and from brave man-portable weapons systems. Others were swift, lightly armed mobile weapons platforms, much like the Confederation used in the Clone Wars. However, the Republic - and later the Empire - had introduced moderately quick, heavily armed weapons platforms to the battlefield in numbers nearly the equal to their lighter armed and armored opponents.

Numeric advantage plus technological superiority is a combination hard to beat. Wars had always been decided on the ground; and while the Confederacy tried to match the strength of the Republic forces, they could not. At the end of the day, warfare took to open space not as a strategic advance in the techniques of starship design, but as a response to the inability to counter the military machine of the Republic.

With the lessons of Geonosis and the Clones Wars in mind, the vehicles used by the Army are varied and are capable of multiple uses in a variety of environments. As the Empire continues to expand to new regions, the Army will be ready to conquer and defend new Imperial lands. A strong armor element is one important element to that equation.

The vehicles commonly used by Imperial Forces include the following:

74-Z Speeder Bike
AT-PT
AT-ST
AT-AT
Century Tank
Juggernaught
