Arakyd 74-Z Speeder Bike

Most speeder bikes are powered by repulsorlift engines, and are often used as recreational vehicles or simple transports. When the war between the Empire and the Rebellion escalated, several military models were maneuverability for the Imperial forces. Because of their high speed (up to 500 km/h), maneuverability and the low maintenance costs, the speeder bikes were used as reconnaissance craft.

The speeder bike model used by the Imperial Scout Troopers, the Aratech 74-Z is armed with a single blaster cannon and light armor plating. The bike is controlled by the vehicle's handgrips, and the speed and altitude are ajusted by the foot pedals. On the control panel in front of the driver the sensors, targeting system and firing mechanism are situated.
